Case Study: Holiday Extras

The Objective

Support employees from across the organisations to be able to deliver their ideas, insights and learnings in the form of short, compelling talks or videos, as part of the companies employee wellbeing week.

The Challenge

Employees were invited to share brand new ideas – many of which had not been developed or shared before.  Therefore they would need support in both the development of the idea and its delivery.  Participants were from a range of different departments, and included more junior members who needed to overcome nerves and imposter syndrome, right up to senior leadership sharing more personal or side projects and ideas.

The Solution

Following support to engage employees, I designed a series of 6x 2hr sessions; taking them through a process of clarifying their idea, value and audience, identifying their unique style, structuring all this into a talk which they felt authentic delivering and that would add value to the audience, as well as stage confidence.  As part of this series they also learn how to deliver their idea to video; which not only gave them a great chance to practice, but also meant those who were not available to deliver their talk in person, had the option to share their video instead.  I also hosted the in-person finale event, and ran bite-size workshops for wider employees

The Outcomes

  • The finale event was really well received – so much so the client asked me to repeat the programme the following year.
  • As well as getting the chance to share their ideas, employees also gained skills and confidence which they could use within their wider work.
  • Employees were given the opportunity to continue to develop and build on the ideas and projects they pitched at the event.
